Impulses for new ways of thinking and acting
SHIFT is our initiative for new ways of thinking and acting, through which we have been creating space for inspiration, innovation and encounters since 2014. We look beyond our own horizons and invite people who have interesting stories to tell. Because we believe that we all need fresh ideas and new answers in order to develop innovative solutions for constant change.
SHIFT2019 was the first live encounter with our community under our new name and positioning. It was therefore a great opportunity to bring to life what we mean when we talk about #connectivity. We brought our new claim, ‘We connect people, brands and markets,’ to life and consistently focused on the theme of ‘relationships.’ With the help of small creative ideas such as the Connectivity Cards, genuine encounters, lively conversations and surprising interactions with and among the guests took place. Using Jörg Sellerbeck's ‘spatial cuisine’ methodology, we also used food as a medium of communication – for example, guests were able to literally ingest our connectivity matrix, which was implemented as a walk-in, edible spatial installation.
Shai Hoffmann, Theresa Bäuerlein and Gunter Dueck provided stimulating insights from beyond our ‘filter bubble’. In between, there was time and space to get to know our relationship partners and their perspectives on relationship building. ‘The more virtual the world becomes, the greater people's desire for a community of values. From public relations to human relations.’ This is how our Creative Director Helge Thomas put it in his opening speech – and it is precisely in this spirit that we want to continue developing SHIFT.
